Can you train dogs of any age?

Yes, we can train dogs of all ages, from puppies to senior dogs. It's never too early or too late to start training your dog!

What is your approach to pet training?

Perun Dog Training uses positive training methods  to encourage and reinforce desired behaviors in dogs. This approach avoids the use of punishment or aversive training techniques that rely on fear, pain, or intimidation. This approach can be effective in improving a dog's behavior, building a stronger bond between the dog and their owner, and improving the overall quality of life for both the dog and their owner.

How long does it take to see results from dog training?

At Perun Dog Training, most of our clients see a noticeable change in their dog during the first training session. After 4-6 sessions, many of our pups are ready to graduate to our group training sessions.

What types of dog training services do you offer?

We offer training in three different ways: 1:1 private training, group training, and virtual follow ups. We work with dogs of every breed with every behavior. Whether you have a shelter dog with a troubled past or a working line dog from a renowned breeder, we want to help you increase your bond with your four-legged friend.

How long does it take to see results from dog training?

It's never too late to start training your pet, regardless of their age. Training can help to strengthen your bond with your pet, improve their behavior, and enhance their quality of life. If you are unsure about where to start with training your older pet, consider consulting with a professional dog trainer who can provide guidance and support.

Do I need to be there for the training?

Our Human clients are the real ones getting "trained." Most of the problems we have with our canine companions stems from a lack of communications. At Perun Dog Training, we don't just train your dog - we teach you a better way to communicate with each other. This is the ONLY true way to ensure success for the life of your pet.

Can you help with specific behavioral issues, such as separation anxiety or leash pulling?

We have yet to come across a dog who can't be trained. Issues like separation anxiety, leash aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding are our bread and butter. Often times these problems require small adjustments to you and your pup's daily routines and results can be seen in a matter of minutes.

What is the difference between obedience training and behavior modification?

Obedience training focuses on teaching dogs basic commands and behaviors, such as sit, stay, and come, to improve their overall obedience and responsiveness to their owner. Behavior modification, on the other hand, aims to address specific behavioral issues, such as aggression, anxiety, or phobias, by identifying the underlying causes and implementing a personalized training plan to modify the dog's behavior. While obedience training is more general and focused on obedience and control, behavior modification is more specialized and tailored to address specific issues.
